I’m a sweet golden girl named Halle Rose. Twelve years ago, my Mama brought me home as a tiny puppy. We loved each other so much and were constant companions. Then one night my Mama got very sick and fell to the floor. I was sitting right next to her when the ambulance came and took her to the hospital. Luckily, they were able to fix her heart up pretty good. But my Mama is not well enough to take care of me any more.

Mama cried and prayed about what would come of us, and she called the nice folks at Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue. My Foster Mama got the call and drove almost all the way up to Canada to get me. She promised Mama that I would be loved and cherished for the rest of my days. The first thing I told my Foster Mama is that I love car rides, but you must drive with one hand scratching my head.

I am now my Foster Mama’s best little friend. I follow her everywhere. I am housetrained, but I do like to go out often. I don’t need to go far, though, as I do my business the minute I get outside. I walk very nicely on a leash and love to sniff the air. After our walk, I snuggle up in my bed for a nice nap in the sun.

Foster Mama took me to the vet and he was very impressed at my vitals. I have a strong heart and lungs, my eyes and teeth look good, and I am a trim 19.6 pounds.

Unfortunately, I tested positive for Lyme, but Foster Mama started me right away on antibiotics. After two weeks on my medicine, I am like a new girl.

I love to play with my Fosters Sisters and follow them around the house. I have a healthy appetite and do a little song and dance when Foster Mama is fixing my dinner.

I would love to find a furever home where we could spend our afternoons sitting in the sun and snuggling. I would be happiest if you were home most of the day, as I do like to go out often to do my business. You can just put on the retractable leash and stand in the doorway, I’ll run out, empty and run back in. Stairs are a bit of a challenge for me, but one flight up and down is doable.

If you want to play, I have plenty of toys to bring along with me. I get along great with other dogs, and would be happy to be part of a pack. I am as friendly as can be to everyone I meet.
